Zonin Prosecco Special Cuvee

750 ML

Product Description

VINIFICATION AND MATURATION: The must, obtained by very soft pressing, undergoes an initial fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18°C (64°F). The base wine is then transferred into pressurized stainless steel tanks where the wine is made sparkling using the traditional Charmat method. COLOR: Bright pale straw-yellow; a fine, clear mousse with avery delicate perlage. BOUQUET: Attractively intense; very fruity and aromatic, with hints of wisteria flowers and Rennet apples. FLAVOR: Very well-balanced and appealing, with the extremely delicate almond note that is typical of Prosecco. SERVING TEMPERATURE: 5°-7°C (41°-45°F). FOOD COMBINATIONS: An excellent aperitif, it can also be served throughout the meal - including dessert - as long as the dishes are not too strongly flavored.

Varietal: Prosecco

Region: Barbaresco

Region Description:

This robust red wine made from the Nebbiolo grape in the Piedmont region of Italy is full bodied, high in tannins, acidity, and alcohol. Aromas are suggestive of tar, violets, roses, strawberries, even truffles. Very similar to, if a little less full-bodied than, Barolo, it traditionally needs to be aged for at least three years in the winery (five years if it is a Reserva), but benefits from additional aging. More recent vintages are fruitier in flavor, often a bit oaky, and may be ready to drink as soon as two to five years after release.
