Product Description
Our youngest vintage possesses a dark aromatic profile beginning with sweet wood spice, clove and leather which gives way to black raspberry, rhubarb and black cherry. The palate is complex and continues to evolve in the glass or decanter, beginning subtly with sweet, wet earth, boysenberries and fresh marionberries. The structure builds as the mid-palate develops with notes of plums, clove, anise, leather and cinnamon. The finish is long, lingering and full of rich spices. This vintage carries a notably long aging potential of 10-15 years and decanting is strongly suggested if opened any time in the next 2 years.
Pair with braised ox tail with roasted root vegetables or filet mignon with mushrooms. We recommend that you open the wine an hour before serving.
