Master Sommelier, Best Sommelier in Burgundy, 1988 finalist in the Best French Sommelier competition. "The eye reveals a ruby, garnet, red tint with violet lights in it. Very attractive brightness. Strong viscosity on the inside of the glass. The nose shows a high quality, aromatic density, with aromas of black fruit (wild blackberry, blueberry), with hints of liquorice. The local terroir characteristics are beautifully but discretely expressed. A well-integrated woody aroma. The attack in the mouth is full, sustained by tight, compact flesh in the middle palate. The tannins, which are firm, rich and well matured, wrap up the fruit. The finish is spicy with extreme finesse. The freshness reinforces the remarkable length. The wine must melt and mingle together. Be patient…'
