The Federalist chardonnay pays homage to the work of our nations only Federalist Party president and inspiration for the U.S. Constitution John Adams. A believer in enlightenment, we carry his mission forward with our wines exposing drinkers to the rich flavors, ripe fruits, and bright acidity of Russian River Valley chardonnay. This chardonnay features aromas of lemon, pear, and a touch of cinnamon. Separate chardonnay blocks were barrel fermented in 30% new oak and aged in barrel for 9 months. It is full-bodied with a long, lingering finish. 2500 cases produced.
Russian River Valley
Separate Chardonnay blocks are barrel fermented in 30% new oak for an average of 12 days. Malolactic fermentations occur post-primary fermentation. The lees are stirred through malolactic fermentation, and the wine is aged sur lies until blending.
Chardonnay blocks are kept separate until blending in the summer. The wines are in barrel for nine months.
