Master distiller Tom Nichol drew inspiration from an old recipe by Charles Tanquerays son, who took over the business at the age of 20 after the death of his father. The Tanqueray Bloomsbury recipe dates back to the 1880s, when the distillery was located in Bloomsbury, London.
The new edition offers prominent notes of Tuscan juniper blended with additional botanicals such as coriander, angelica, winter savoury and cassia bark.
I wanted to make something that was completely different from our other limited editions and with this gin I do feel we have achieved that. It is very inspirational to work with an original Tanqueray family recipe, and for it to taste this good, -Tom Nichol
