SANCERRE BENOIT GIRARD .750

Sauvignon Blanc

750 ML

$24.99

Product Description

Domaine Girard has been growing and producing wine well before the French Revolution in 1789. Until the 1960s, however, the wine was consumed only by the family itself or allocated to really good friends. That all changed with Marius Girard after he bottled and sold his Sancerre commercially with great success.

The Domaine is located in Verdigny, one of the most renowned wine villages of Sancerre. Today's generation owns 16 acres of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, with each sibling knowing each and every parcel in their vineyard.

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc offers an aroma of yellow fruits and a touch of flint. Following are flavors of peach, yellow fruits and white flowers with a pleasant mineral and citrus fruit finish.  Pair this elegant Sauvignon Blanc with light appetizers or fish dishes, particularly salmon. It is bright and lively with a long, smooth finish.
