Product Description

A stellar vintage, our 2007 Sonoma County Zinfandel boasts big varietal character and rich, regional style. The nose is precise, opening with bright, red fruit that flares around a rich, brambly berry core touched by toasted oak and cloves. Generous and smooth, the intensity of fruit carries through the midpalate, supported with a dollop of spice. Dark fruit lingers with a nice grip on the finish, leaving a lasting impression that beckons another sip. For the 2007 Sonoma County Zinfandel, we used 100 percent Zinfandel grapes, which we meticulously hand harvested and hand sorted into small bins. At the winery, we cold soaked the grapes prior to fermentation for a gentle extraction of aromatics and flavors. We destemmed a majority of the fruit, keeping 20 percent whole cluster, and placed it into small, open-top bins for fermentation. Frequent punch-downs extracted rich layers
