750 ML

Product Description

This wine is quite typical for Bien Nacido Chardonnay from a cool vintage. Leaning more towards citrus and minerality and leaning away from but still showing some nice tropical fruit. It is quite firm in the mouth with wonderful, mouthwatering acidity. Im quite pleased with the balance and that the alcohol is under 14% (13.4%) This wine will age nicely from some time and should be peaking in about 7-8 years.

Varietal: Chardonnay

Region: Santa Maria Valley

Region Description:

Northern most wine region of Santa Barbara County. The Santa Maria River Valley is 19,000 acres of vineyards running east to west with the river. The Pacific Ocean sends cool air over the region, creating mild temperatures all year. This region has a growing season that is longer than most wine regions in California. The cool summers and long growing season combined account for slow maturation of the Pinot noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay grown there.
