The Shepherds Cottage at Overgaauw was originally built in the late 1700s to house the local Shepherd. It is a small quaint humble home, with thick old white washed walls and small windows which are protected by green shutters, each with a heart carved out in its center.
The wine is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot offering structure with rich black berry and perfumed flavors. The merlot adds ripe juicy black cherry truffle flavors with hints of violets. A voluptuous, juicy, generous, smooth textured wine, with fine ripe tannins.
