The 2008 Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon opens with notes of black
fruits, cassis and black currants. The fruit forward aromas are pronounced
in the youth of this wine which promises elegance as complex herbal layers
of juniper and bramble characteristic of Spring Mountain follow on the
nose. Vanilla and Chinese five spice flavors as well as similar notes
mirrored from the nose are introduced on the huge, plush, powerful
palate that has a lingering bittersweet chocolate finish.
