regions: Sonoma, Lake and Napa counties. Its lush,
dark berry flavors, silky tannins and long, sumptuous
finish are truly regal.
Wine Attitude:
Here at Ménage à Trois, we believe in living a rich
fantasy life.
The richer, the better, in fact! In our
favorite saucy scenario, were being seduced by
royalty, helpless to resist the temptations afforded
by prestige and power. Intrigued? We recommend
you enjoy a regal romp of your own with the emperor
of grapes, the King of Reds: Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ménage à Trois traces its lineage to prestigious
vineyards in three of Californias premier growing
regions where grapes develop majestic characteristics
and distinction. So have a fling with the King! One
sip, and youll understand the true meaning of a royal
flush.
Vineyard and Winemaking:
Our magnificent Cab reigns supreme with bold, dark
fruit flavors, exquisite, silky tannins and a long, savory
finish. Made in a smooth, approachable style, this wine
marries a ménage à trois of grapes sourced from three
distinctive areas within Californias legendary North
Coast region specifically, Sonoma, Lake and Napa
counties. Sonoma fruit brings beautiful finesse to the
mix, Lake grapes add swagger and power, while Napa
fruit delivers grace and charm. After barrel-aging in
French and American oak, Ménage à Trois Cabernet
Sauvignon emerges, garnet-hued and regal, ready to
make you its latest conquest.

Region Description

(cab er nay saw vee nyon)—This highly adaptable grape grows almost anywhere it is relatively warm, but the best wines come from the Burgundy region of France (where it is a noble variety), California, and Australia. It became famous through the red wines of the Médoc district of Bordeaux and is now grown in Washington, southern France, Italy, Australia, South Africa, Chile, and Argentina. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes make wines that are high in tannin and medium- to full-bodied. Usually identified as having black currant or cassis flavors, the grape can also possess vegetal tones when the grapes are less than ideally ripe. The best wines are rich and firm with great depth, and are often aged for fifteen years or more. Because it is highly tannic, Cabernet Sauvignon is often blended with other less-tannic grapes such as Merlot.
