The 2012 Overlook® Pinot Noir has a bright ruby core with intense aromas of blackberries, violets, all-spice, and black cherry. This medium-bodied pinot noir exhibits bright acidity with flavors of grilled strawberries, Bing cherry, and candied orange zest that is balanced with softly integrated tannins.
This elegant and well-balanced wine is an excellent accompaniment to roasted poultry such as Cornish game hen with quinoa, seared pork loin, eggplant parmesan, and grilled vegetables.
Varietal: Pinot Noir
California produces the majority of wine made in the United States. Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir dominate the wine production in California, but many other varietials thrive in the California climate. Many fine wines are produced in California using Mediterranean grapes.
