Affordable, approachable and crafted by Hess winemakers for immediate enjoyment, these wines represent outstanding examples of wines from Californias premier growing regions. HESS SELECT TREO Treo honors the next generation of the Hess family guiding The Hess Collection. Founder Donald Hess, joined by son-inlaws Timothy Persson and Christoph Ehrbar, form a trio building on the values and vision of the past while leading the way to a bright and innovative future. From our historic home on Mount Veeder, the skill of our winemakers is seen each vintage in this artful blend of several classic red varietals. WINEMAKERS NOTES This blend of Merlot, Syrah and Petite Sirah has aromas of wild cherry, plum, vanilla, wild berry and black currant jam. It enters the palate with juicy flavors of cranberry, pomegranate and black cherry, while the finish is long and soft. 2010 VINTAGE The 2010 vintage will be remembered for its long, cool growing season and the absence of excessive heat events, which allowed for ripe flavors to develop on the vine without excessive sugar accumulation. The result is an elegant balance of fruit flavors and acidity with lower alcohol. FOOD PAIRING Grilled meats, such as flank steak, or a hamburger with blue cheese. Grilled salmon. Roasted or grilled mushrooms, onions and peppers. Cured meats and aged cheeses like a gouda or dry jack. the hess collection | 4411 redwood rd. | napa, ca 94558 | 707.255.1144 | hesscollection.com | facebook.com/hesscollection 2010 TREO WINEMAKERS BLEND CALIFORNIA BLEND: 45% Merlot, 37% Syrah, 14% Petite Sirah, 2% Malbec, 2% Mourvedre AGING: Aged 18 months in once used French and American oak TOTAL ACID: 0.60 gms/100ml PH: 3.64 ALCOHOL: 13.5%
