CRAFTED BY TRADITION. INSPIRED BY LIFE
HandCraft Artisan Collection wines celebrate the California home and Italian heritage of third generation
winery proprietor Cheryl Indelicato. She gives classic grape varieties her own personal touch by
adding a playful dash of Italian and heritage varietals as a nod to the vineyard-to-barrel field selections
that found their place daily at the Italian table when she was growing up. The result is distinctive, fruitforward
wines that are easy to enjoy and share with others.
Grapes were hand harvested in the cool of the
night to retain every ounce of flavor before being
swiftly taken to the winery where they were
de-stemmed into small lot fermenters. After a
brief cold soak, the must was slowly warmed,
which enhanced color and flavor extraction.
Once fermentation was complete, a portion was
aged in a combination of American and French
oak while another portion remained in stainless
steel to provide the blending options for this bold
and structured blend. We added a small amount
of Sangiovese, an Italian varietal, to the blend to
help soften and smooth out the tannins, add
bright fruit flavor components and enhance the
Robust aromas of cherry, blackberry,
pepper and tobacco greet your nose. The
layers of flavor that follow are nothing
short of fantastic with hints of black cherry,
clove, spice, currants and dark chocolate.
This full bodied wine is rich and robust
with round tannins that lead to a long and
generous finish. Memorable.
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
California produces the majority of wine made in the United States. Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir dominate the wine production in California, but many other varietials thrive in the California climate. Many fine wines are produced in California using Mediterranean grapes.
