Region Description

\"Aquavit\" or \"Akvavit\" as known in Scandinavia. This spirit also derives its name from the phrase \"water of life\". Similar to vodka it is distilled from potato or grain. The herb most dominant in the flavor is caraway, but anise, bitter orange, cumin, fennel, coriander, and dill are also present minimally.
