The 2011 Fog Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is an easy to drink Cabernet classic in style. Aromas of black currant intermingle with fresh herbs de Provence and are enticing at the first sip. On the palate, lush Santa Rosa plums mix with spicy black pepper, as the taste of rich caramel fills the palate. While soft upon entry, this well balanced Cabernet firms up for a long, lasting finish.
California produces the majority of wine made in the United States. Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir dominate the wine production in California, but many other varietials thrive in the California climate. Many fine wines are produced in California using Mediterranean grapes.
