In 1981, Lyeth Estate was founded in Sonoma County by Chip Lyeth. After having traveled through Bordeaux in the late 1970s, Chip came to believe what the Bordelais had known for centuries: that through blending, you could create a beautiful, distinctive wine, with unique characteristics often very different from the varietals from which it is created. To craft these wines, he brought on his close friend, Bill Arbios. Over 25 years later, Winemaker Bill Arbios continues his dedication to Chips vision of making unique blends of various varietals.
