Dow's Vintage Porto

Vintage Port

750 ML

Product Description

Dark and intensely purple right up to the rim. On the nose, a restrained and subtle aroma of rockrose and gum-cistus. On the mouth the Dows 2003 has powerful and rich tannins with immense ripe fruit flavours. There are layers of bitter chocolate flavours with the characteristic freshly-ground black pepper finish. Less intensely sweet than all other leading Vintage Ports, Dows 2003 has the thoroughbred drier style that will give excellent ageing potential.

Varietal: Vintage Port

Region: Oporto

Region Description:

The second city of Portugal and its commercial centre is Oporto. It is the city that gives its name to the port wine variety. The grapes for port wines are grown in the harsh conditions of the Douro valley and shipped down river to Oporto to be crushed and vinified into the uniquely strong and sweet port wines enjoyed around the world.
