colour: light amber.
nose: malt, sweet fruit- pear, apple, peach, soft background oak, honey, vanilla, heather, slight undertone of smoke, attractive.
palate: coating, sweet fruit, malt, decent tongue buzz.
finish: sweet fruits, malt, oak, vanilla, honey, background smokiness emerging, well balanced, decent complexity.
notes: Lovely. Nose is very attractive, sweet, gentle though flavourful. Background smokiness in finish tops this whisky off perfectly. Nothing is overwhelming, all is balanced to provide an excellent dram. Big thumbs up.
\"Single Malt Scotch\" is generally associated with the higher end Scotch whiskeys, meaning its origin comes from one distillery and distilled in a pot still. The malt grain used is always barley in the case of a single malt Scotch.
