This Pinot is wellbalanced, with layers of strawberry jam highlighted vanilla and spice. A plush and graceful wine, with aromas of strawberries, red raspberries and hints of earth evident in the nose. Because of its complex fruit character and lower tannins, Pinot Noir is one of the most versatile food wines made. Try with fire roasted tomato soup, grilled salmon, quiche Lorraine, pork tenderloin or your favorite vegetarian dishes.
Varietal: Pinot Noir
This small section of Northern California is situated at the base of both the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Carneros has made its reputation with its Pinot Noirs, which are filled with strawberry, cherry, spice, and chocolate, and are very rich and seductive. Chardonnay is also excellent, very buttery but not too fat.
