Light amber color. Aromas of buttered lemon poppy seed muffin, praline, and sour cream frosting with a soft, silky dryish medium body and a lightly smoky peat, creamed honey, pound cake, roasted nut, and peppery spice finish. A zesty satisfying blend.
In 1879 James Buchanan moved to London to work as a sales agent for another whisky firm. In 1884 he set up James Buchanan & Co.and set out to create the perfect blended Scotch Whisky - a blend which had the perfect balance of body and flavour and he used his name as a personal guarantee. As a result 'the Buchanan's blend' was born.
