Bristle Viognier

750 ML

Product Description

Crisp and fresh, yet firm and full in the mouth with fine texture and more stone fruit flavors than the nose suggests. White peach and apricot become more evident with time in the glass. A hint of clean oak. Fascinating appearance of sweetness on the palate, yet finishes bone dry. Delightful in its youth yet has all the potential to develop like its predecessors. This is a great accompaniment to seafoods, Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. The wine is ready to be enjoyed now but will develop complexity in the next two to three years. Alcohol: 13.5%

The town of Stellenbosch was founded in 1679. It is a European settlement in the Western Cape Province, South Africa. The town became known as the "City of Oaks" due to the large number of oak trees that were planted by the founder. The region is equipped with dark alluvial clay soils, a Mediterranean climate, and hilly slopes that keep the hot afternoon sun at bay. Summers in Stellenbosch are dry and warm while the winters are cool and rainy. The most planted grape of the region is Chenin Blanc. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinaut are the two red grapes planted in Stellenbosch.
