The intersection of Hwy 29 & Oakville Cross road is located in the heart of Napa Valley. Their winemaker, Trevor Sheehan, selects grapes sourced from the top vineyards in Oakville, each meticulously selected to contribute certain nuances to the final blend. When it comes time for harvest, (the winemaker) is drawing from the best parcels from the same area to ensures each and every vintage of 29 & Oak wines remain consistent year after year.
The 29 & Oak Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of three different AVA's in Napa Valley. The wine has a dark purple color that extends to the rim of the glass. The Cabernet is softened by the Merlot, giving it a smoother finish. The wine has flavors of black currant, blackberry, black cherry and licorice. 70% American and 30% French Oak barrels were used in the aging process which the wine remained in for 18 months after fermentation.
