Product Description

  • Introduced: 1991 Beer Category/Styles: Premium “Packaged Draft” regional beers – American-style premium lager and American-style light lager Taste Profiles:< Both premium draft beers offer light fruit and malt aromas, which complement the medium-body, slightly sweet taste and exceptionally smooth finish of these beers. Ingredients/Brewing: Michelob Golden Draft is a premium, cold-filtered lager beer that is brewed using two-row barley malt, premium American hops and corn to achieve its smooth, full taste. Michelob Golden Draft Light is a premium, cold-filtered light lager beer that is brewed using a blend of two and six-row barley malt, premium American hops and rice to create its smooth, refreshing taste. It also undergoes a longer brewing process to produce a lighter taste and fewer calories. Interesting Facts: Both brands are distributed in select United States markets. Their introduction marked Anheuser-Busch’s first entry into the clear-bottle, packaged-draft market.

US Beer The United States is the largest brewer of beer in the world. It's big-name lagers are famous the world over. Recently, micro-brews have sprung up in an effort to meet the demand for beer variety. The micro-brew market is still small, but is growing all the time. America is the home of light beer, first brewed by Miller in 1975. Today, a majority of the best selling beer in the United States is light.
Microbrew Microbrews are produced by relatively small breweries who make fewer than 50,000 barrels of beer per year. Microbreweries create specially-crafted beers that are often superior to the large-production beers, primarily due to their high-quality ingredients and careful brewing methods.
Lager Lagers are some of the most popular beers in the world. Introduced in Germany over 500 years ago, the word 'lager' means 'to store' and is a reference to the time that lagers spend in barrels before being bottled.
