Generally rum is reserved for a fruity drink such as this one, but in this case bourbon works quite well.
The reference to a geographical location indicates that this is a bourbon cocktail. The alcoholic component in this drink is made from apricot kernels as is indicated in the second half of the name.
Let your rebel spirit known as you take up this drink with your friends.
This is a creamy shot with a good kick. Enjoy.
At Woodford Reserve, we like to say that we don't manufacture our product, we craft it. Anyone can claim history and tradition. Take your time with a glass of Woodford Reserve and you'll find that we practice what we preach.
"Whiskey" (with an e) usually refers to spirits distilled in Ireland and America. Whiskey picks up many of its flavors during the distillation process. This process leads to many unique varieties of whiskey.
"Bourbon" Whiskey is a whiskey made predominately in Kentucky and must have more than 51% malted corn with malted barley to be distinguished as Boubon. There are two distinctive styles of Bourbon made; sweet and sour mash. Sweet mash is fermented over a couple of days while sour mash is fermented longer to eliminate sugar in the grain.
